Week 1
Monday, June 9th through Thursday, June 12th
Mini MAT
Ages 4-6 | $495.00

This program is designed with our youngest adventurers in mind. Each Mini camp is customized by our staff and many will have exciting and unique themes throughout the week. In any week you could visit roaring waterfalls, tromp through muddy creeks, or even visit the fire station. All Mini camps run from 10am to 4pm; children are transported in 15-passenger vans with provided car seats.
Mighty MAT
Ages 6-8 | $515.00

This program is designed with our younger adventurers in mind. Each Mighty camp is customized by our staff and many will have exciting and unique themes throughout the week. In any week you could visit roaring waterfalls, tromp through muddy creeks, or even visit the fire station. All Mighty camps run from 10am to 4 pm (unless there is a specified earlier drop-off).
Now That's What I Call Fun! Camp*

*Includes a single overnight. Get ready for a week of classic MAT fun! Throughout the summer we will visit our favorite spots, both old and new. Reservoirs, caves, hot springs, cliffs, hikes… and of course, the hidden gems that only we know about. When we’re not out exploring, swimming, hiking, and getting nice and muddy we are likely touring local businesses throughout the Wood River and Sawtooth Valleys.
Week 2
Monday, June 16th through Thursday, June 19th
Mini Garden Camp NEW!

Get the straw hats and overalls ready, because we are going to have ourselves a week of fun at the garden! Your camper will make new friends with all sorts of barnyard critters — chickens, goats, and more! — while learning firsthand where fresh food comes from with some engaging garden time. Of course, after a (not so) hard morning’s work, there’s nothing like dipping your toes in the water and relaxing by the creek! All Mini camps run from 10am to 4pm; children are transported in 15-passenger vans with provided car seats.
This Camp Rocks! w/ Climbing*

*Includes a single overnight. Your camper will experience all things “rocks”! Whether it’s exploring underground caverns, learning about volcanic activity at Craters of the Moon, jumping off boulders into refreshing rivers and lakes, adventuring in the mountains with guided climbing trips, or vibing out in the van to some classic Aerosmith, one thing is for sure: They’ll have a rocking week!

Mighty Splash n' Cave

Can’t decide if exploring caves or playing in the river is more fun? Good news — your adventurer can do both! We made it easy by combining both these classic Mountain Adventure Tours activities into one special camp. Take a break from the bluebird skies and hot sun to go underground in caves down south— what lurks inside? How were they made? After all that exploring, swimming and splashing is just the ticket to finish off the day in style. All Mighty camps run from 10am to 4 pm (unless there is a specified earlier drop-off). ​
Rocks & Ropes: Senior Climbing**

**Includes a double overnight. This camp will take aspiring climbers to new heights as they learn to safely use gear such as harnesses and belay devices, tie essential knots, and learn the lingo. Both indoor and outdoor climbing experiences, led by a certified instructor, will introduce the basics of bouldering, belaying, and top-rope climbing to your young teen, building confidence and skills and setting the groundwork for future learning.

Mini Secret Agent NEW!

There's secret shenanigans afoot, and only our youngest adventurers can complete the mission! Put on your disguises, come up with code names, and collect clues from the police station, but be extra careful— because lunches have been known to go missing when there's a villain on the loose! When not channeling their inner 007, campers will play by the river and enjoy classic M.A.T. fun. All Mini camps run from 10am to 4pm; children are transported in 15-passenger vans with provided car seats.
The Sorcerer's Summer: Harry Potter Camp*

Calling all witches and wizards: the Hogwarts Express is making a stop in the Wood River Valley! Make all your Harry Potter wishes come true by getting sorted into your dream house, crafting your own wands and broomsticks, and competing in M.A.T.'s very own Triwizard Tournament, among many other exciting activities planned. Embrace the magic of camp and the power of friendship by embarking on this fantastical week of adventure.
Mighty I Love Bugs & Animals NEW!

If your little adventurer loves to explore nature and become friends with all the critters big and small around us, this camp is for them! We may visit the animal shelter, a local farm, or simply find out what insects, fish, and wildlife are hiding in plain sight in the rivers and woods of our valley. All Mighty camps run from 10am to 4 pm (unless there is a specified earlier drop-off).
Caves, Hot Springs, & Waterfalls*

*Includes a single overnight. Our curiosity knows no limits! This camp will take adventurers deep down into caverns where we will learn all about their formations and their history. When we’re tired of spending time underground, we’ll go chasing waterfalls — sorry, TLC – and see who’s brave enough to dunk under the raging cascades! Along the way, we’ll splash, float, and play in all the hot springs we can find.
CIT Camp*

Ready to take it to the next level? This week-long session will help campers transition into being a CIT, an essential part of our staff! CITs are role models for the younger generations of campers and help bring the fun and energy that M.A.T. is known for. When not having fun in the sun, participants in the CIT camp will follow a schedule that mimics the staff training period prior to summer camp. They will also plan and host an overnight with younger campers at BaseCamp.

Camping Cuisine*

Spending time in the great outdoors is even more fun when you’ve got great food to go along with all the exploration and playing. We will cover all the basics of camp cooking, including baking tasty treats in a dutch oven and other methods of cooking in the woods! When we’re not filling our bellies and sitting around the campfire, we’ll be working up our appetites by having a whole lot of classic MAT fun!

Biking 101*
Ages 8-10 | $725.00

*Includes a single overnight. Get ready to feel a lot more comfortable on two wheels! Your camper will learn to cruise around in style and safety on their bicycle as we explore all over the valley in search of the best river spots to float, splash, and swim in! We will also cover the basics of maintenance such as putting on a chain and replacing a tire for when the realities of adventure strike, so your camper will be prepared for anything! ​
River Rat**

**Includes a double overnight. A legendary experience that will bestow the title of “River Rat” on your camper! M.A.T. is proud to have partnered with the White Otter and Payette River rafting companies for almost 20 years. Our itinerary will take us cruising down the Helende stretch of the Payette — hot springs! — followed by an overnight campout in Lowman. Then we will head over to Stanley where guides will teach campers how to feel more comfortable in the river. Whether it’s calling out the shots on the boat, learning how to navigate tough rapids, or practicing the best ways to help others in challenging situations, your camper will not only have a blast, but learn a ton. After all the river fun, we’ll wrap up the day by camping in Challis — more hot springs! — before road-tripping on back home!

Mini Treasure Hunters

Arrrrrrr cap’n! Good old-fashioned adventure is the name of the game of this themed camp as we will spend our days searching and seeking for treasure all over the Wood River Valley. Each day will bring new clues, surprises, and twists, so bring your mates and get ready for fun! Just keep an eye on your lunches as they tend to go missing when pirates are afoot… All Mini MAT Camps run from 10 am to 4 pm (no overnights) and children are transported in 15-passenger vans with provided car seats.
Splash Bash w/ Rafting (Salmon)*

*Includes a single overnight. We’ll be splashing… and we’ll be bashing! This is one of our most popular camps for a reason — it’s a freakin’ blast. Who doesn't like to go explore the rivers and lakes of Idaho on a hot summer day? This camp includes a special excursion down the gorgeous Salmon River. Your adventurer will be raving about this for the rest of the summer!

Mighty Splash Bash w/ Rafting

One of our favorite camps! Here at Mountain Adventure Tours we know how much you all love to get wet, and so do we! Your camper will be the ultimate splasher n’ basher as we take them a step beyond exploring the rivers and lakes of Idaho and go rafting down the Salmon River with a special half-day trip! They’re guaranteed to come home raving from all the fun... and ready for a nap. All Mighty camps run from 10am to 4 pm (unless there is a specified earlier drop-off).
Riders & Gliders*

Whether it’s exploring on horseback, cruising to scenic river spots on bicycles, staying cool in the Sun Valley ice rink, or learning all about the paragliders who launch themselves from the top of Baldy, this week promises some unique activities on top of the classic Mountain Adventure Tours fun that has become a mainstay of our program.
Stars & Spokes: Bikepacking Camp*

*Includes a single overnight. Bicycles aren't just for cruising around town or hitting the pump park — they can be the (literal) vehicles to incredible adventures in the outdoors! In this camp, your young teen will learn the basics of bikepacking — including safety, maintenance, and management of essential gear — before applying their newfound skills with an overnight excursion.

M.A.T. Camp: Taylor's Version*

*Includes a single overnight. Do you know every word to Taylor Swift’s discography? Have you always wanted to make and trade friendship bracelets with other Swifties while listening to all of Taylor’s music? Then this unique camp is for you! We will channel our inner Swifties while horseback riding and having fun in the great outdoors! Karaoke and a screening of the official Eras Tour movie at BaseCamp is also on the agenda. Each day we’ll celebrate Taylor’s different eras (dressing in theme is highly encouraged) while exploring all that the valley has to offer. Only one question… are you Ready For It?

Embark on a prehistoric adventure! Campers will dig for fossils, create fun crafts, and explore the incredible world of dinosaurs when not tromping through muddy rivers like a happy triceratops. Camping 101*

*Includes a single overnight. The ultimate introduction to camping and having a great time while enjoying all the great outdoors has to offer! This camp will teach young campers the essentials of what to pack for an overnight trip in the mountains, how to plan and shop for cooking outdoors, and how to take care of all the gear — including rolling up a sleeping pad, packing up a sleeping bag, and setting up a tent. Then, we’ll put our newfound skills to the test with some wild camping in the woods!

At our BaseCamp location, we have created a camp week of wild adventure and cliff-jumping fun right along the Big Lost River. Your kids will hike, swim, and explore the other side of Trail Creek while building confidence out in nature and making lifelong friends.

This program, often the culmination of campers' childhood M.A.T. journeys, begins with a two-day campout at BaseCamp before hitting the road for four days and three nights of adventure. Activities at BaseCamp include fishing and hiking to an alpine lake, and on the road we'll be going to some of our favorite hot springs from Lowman to Stanley. Your child will push their limits and gain self-confidence, as well as lifelong memories and friends, during this epic week.

This camp will pit two groups of campers against each other in a friendly competition featuring epic forts, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and much more to test teamwork, communication, and nature skills. Bring your fishing rod to relax... and maybe to catch your dinner!

Embrace the unknown and step outside comfort zones!This camp will push young adults to be their best selves in challenging and fun ways, all while creating memories of a lifetime. A tough yet rewarding journey to pristine alpine lakes in the Idaho backcountry will lead to cold water plunges, cowboy camping under the stars, and reflection on what life — and adventure — is truly about.
Mighty Wildcrafters

What’s the limit of your camper’s imagination? You’ll find out as they come home with all sorts of creative masterpieces! Arts & crafts are just the tip of the iceberg as we’ll dive into all sorts of creative endeavors this week: Building forts in the woods and floating on handmade rafts, making nature bracelets and flower crowns, putting on puppet and talent shows…and much more! All Mighty camps run from 10am to 4 pm unless there is an earlier departure (no overnights).

Hike, Raft, SUP (Payette)*

*Includes a single overnight. Get ready for a big adventure, MAT-style! First, we will hit up some local trails to gain some elevation and get sweaty. Then we’ll head north over the pass to cool down and raft the Payette with experienced guides. In between we will learn the basics of stand-up paddle boarding on one of our local gems of a lake or reservoir. With all sorts of fun variety mixed in, this week will be one your camper won't soon forget.
