Outdoor Hispanic Leaders

Started in January 2020, the Outdoor Hispanic Leaders (OHL) program helps students learn outdoor and leadership skills to grow themselves and their communities through weekly meetings and engaging curriculum.

Several 9th- and 10th-grade students from the Wood River Valley were the inagural members of the OHL, with the goal of becoming junior counselors in IBC’s After-School Program, helping guide and teach the leaders of tomorrow.

This program has been made possible with funds from Michael Meyers and leadership from Herbert Romero, Bob Knoble, and Ashton Wilson.
